No Cold Tacos!

Look, we get it.  Nobody likes a cold taco, but there is such a thing as taking it too far.  In this news report out of Houston, TX (the boyhood home of the founders of Taco Jesus Hot Sauce) we find out that some Houstonians take their taco really seriously, maybe a bit too seriously.

Houston taught us our love of tacos, and all things hot and spicy, but one thing we can promise is that we won’t shoot you if we get a cold taco.  Provided of course some lame taco truck server doesn’t make us angry at 2:00 in the morning.

Hellcat Habanero - the Flamin' HellcatsMade from the world’s hottest habanero peppers – red savina peppers – this special edition sauce pays homage to one of Houston, Texas’ longest tenured and hardest working bands the Flamin’ Hellcats.  Our first run of this sauce sold out quickly so keep your eyes out for the return in our hot sauce shop.

The Flamin’ Hellcats were founded in 1992 and gained national notoriety when their song Problems was included in the soundtrack of the 1999 MTV movie Varsity Blues.  As one of our all-time favorite Houston bands this sauce captures their essence with a perfect amount of red hot spice and 101% Vatobilly goodness.

Our XXX Hellcat Habanero hot sauce blends Red Savina and Naga Jolokia peppers with onion, lemon juice, passion fruit juice and garlic pulp to form a powerful sauce, both in flavor and heat! This is no ‘soupy’ hot sauce. Quite to the contrary, our Red Savina is a thick crushed pepper sauce that will stick with you… possibly longer than you had intended!

Taco Jesus - Flamin' Hellcats Ltd EdTaco Jesus Hot Sauce is teaming up with one of our favorite Houston bands to create a very limited edition hot sauce.  The Flamin’ Hellcats gained notoriety when their song “Problems” was included in the soundtrack of the 1999 movie “Varsity Blues” and they have continued to rock the Houston music scene ever since.

We will offer up a limited edition of twelve bottles which will be available for pre-sale in the Taco Jesus shop beginning July 1st with production and delivery expected around August 1st.  After these twelve limited edition bottles are gone the only way to get your hands on a bottle will be through The Flamin’ Hellcats themselves.

We know the wait for the sauce is gonna be tough, but good things come to those who wait.  No need to get your 3-Pack Panties in a wad.
